My daily Ayurveda practices- to help balance my mind, body and soul.
Daily Gratitude Mantra
Be thankful that you woke up. You woke up in a bed. Somewhere safe. That you are healthy. Be thankful for what you have. Be thankful for the opportunity for a new day. Give gratitude for these things. Say things in your mind or out loud that feel comfortable for you, things that you are grateful for.
This morning I said something like this.
I am grateful for this beautiful day. I am grateful for my partner, for my dog, for this comfy bed, these blankets, fresh air, peace and quiet, clean room, beautiful day. I am grateful for the opportunity to begin my 21 day challenge today and to make the video today, to do my other projects, to practice Ayurveda and Yoga. I am grateful to have a job. To have food in my refrigerator. I am grateful for my health, my youth and my potential. I am thankful for connection. I am thankful for waking up.
Manifest your Day
Then you can take 5-10 minutes just to relax and manifest your day. Imagine yourself doing the things you need to do, happily, successfully, imagine yourself succeed in the challenges of the day…and anything else you want to happen…now while nothing else is disturbing you, take the time to manifest it.
Wash your Face
Wash your face with cold water. This helps to wake you up.
Jivha Dhauti (Tongue Cleaning)
This helps to remove “Ama” or toxins that release from your body. Also, massages your interior organs.
Abhyanga
Self Massage. Helps with circulation, gives moisture to your body and joints and also teaches self love.
Jala Neti
Helps to clean out impurities from the day before and also to calm the mind.
Lemon Tea
Helps to Alkaline the body and wake up the digestive system.
Walk in Nature
Spend at least 30 minutes outside in nature.
Asana, Pranayama Practice
30-60 Minutes.
Make breakfast (Juice/Smoothy)
Great to have a juice or smoothy in the morning to begin your day, especially if you wake up early, because your digestive system is still repairing in the early hours. Also to be noted, that our body has a memory of three days. If you have the same food for 3 days straight at the same time, your body is going to begin getting ready for this food before you take it. Which helps a lot with digestion, which makes you a healthier person! Also if you begin to think about what you are going to eat or drink, before you do it- also helps. If you are constantly changing food and routine, your body won’t know how to prepare itself and will wait until you feed it to begin the process… which slows the entire digestion process down.
Shower
Wash off all sunblock, mosquito repellent and dirt from the day.
Work
Working gives me purpose and gives service to others.
Eat healthy lunch
Fresh vegetables and a protein.
Study (Ayurveda/Spanish/Yoga)
Everyday to stay ahead of the game I need to study Ayurveda for 2-4 hours
I want to study Spanish for at least 1 hour, especially now since I am not studying nor speaking it very much.
I want to make a Yoga video everyday and also begin reading Yoga Philosophy everyday for at least 30-60 minutes.
Have something light for supper
Eat something easy to digest for supper so that all my food is digested before I go to bed and also before I do my night time asana practice and meditation.
Asana practice in the night/Meditation
Listen to my meditation music for at least 1 song,Ho-Sum Mantra or Reiki Session.
Chaksu Dhauti (Eye Cleanse)
Once a week or as needed.
