Well, I will write more tomorrow, but I wanted to just begin writing something to close my tonight. How quickly 2015 went… It started last year while I was here at Turtle Lake, then I went back to Mexico City, and throughout the year I had different jobs, took different courses, went to different workshops and I even saw a few new places around Mexico and the Unites States and Canada. We moved from the City to the beach and slept just one night in our new place before coming here, back to Turtle Lake to celebrate Christmas. It was a very fast year.
My friends are getting engaged, having babies, getting married… many things are happening with my friends and family in Canada and all over the globe. Sigh, life is beautiful.
Sadly, also this year many horrible things happened to many people. There was many horrible things that happened near me in Mexico, and that I watched on the news from Canada…and all over the world. Many innocent people died at the hands of people holding holding hate in their hearts. I just pray that 2016, that all the good in the world can begin uniting together against the bad and that more people will be able to be more positive about our future here on this beautiful planet, instead of feeling fear and sadness. I pray that in 2016- we work together to raise the vibrations of all humanity.
Over the past week I havn’t been to strict on myself as far as routine as I was in a house with 4 bedrooms, 10 people and a dog. Today the numbers were only 4 people and I felt a lot more relaxed and didn’t feel guilty to leave the company of my loved ones for a few hours to begin updating my blog and facebook page a little bit again. For the week before, I really just wanted to enjoy my family that was around me. Well, tomorrow two more of my family members will be arriving to help us celebrate the end of the year, which is also very nice- as I don’t get to spend enough time with them. As I get older, as do my parents, aunties and uncles – I am really trying to take the time to get to know my family and cherish the moments I have with them.
Well it’s now 1:30 in the morning so I best be going to begin to get ready for bed.
Tomorrow I want to begin my routine again- trying to eat within certain timeframes, practicing yoga, working, studying and eating healthy. I will be the first to admit, that over the past 12 days I have eaten my fair share of junk food. I allowed myself to indulge in many of my old favorite sweets and salties, chewies and crunchies, spicies and savories. I have been keeping very irregular times for sleeping … however I have been continuing to wake up with grateful meditation, wash my face with cold water (I REALLY FORGOT what cold water really is), Jhala Netti, Jivha Netti, Lemon Water and I missed a couple days- but for the most part trying for at least 30 minutes outside in Nature. It’s very easy to do when it’s not freezing outside. And actually, the first 6 days I was here I felt very cold- but now I am starting to get used to it again. If you dress up warm, with the right gear you will able to enjoy doing many outdoor activities. Right now we don’t have a lot of snow, however, we can still go ski-dooing, ice skating, cross country skiing in the forest and on the frozen lake. Today I tried to do some asanas on the snow- although I enjoyed a headstand while watching the sunset… it’s not the easiest to move with all your snow stuff on. With that said- I am now ready for my pillow!
