What I like about last days of things are it allows you to reflect on a group of days that you had before. Last day of school… all the days of fun you had with your peers, all the things you learned all the struggles you overcame to finish…
Last day of Yoga Teacher Training… all the new friends you made, the knowledge you were exposed to, the personal development you made and the inspiration to continue on in the real world… and last day of the month… everything you did in the month, all the fun you had, all the hard work you did, new things you experienced and learned.
Right now my days are ever changing and I am learning new things every day… new things about myself through self study, new things about my relationships, new things about Ayurveda and Yoga, the world…
This month was a full-on blast! With an average day being between 7:30am-11:30pm I filled it up with many things. I had the opportunity to practice my holistic teachings and practices this month. I began teaching Yoga to a group of great British people who gave me really positive feedback and kept asking me to come back. I now have my first 7 professional yoga classes under my belt. Every class we came, we breathed, we stretched and aligned and we meditated. Every class I would consider a success and also a learning experience.
In March I was able to practice Abhyanga massage on 9 people. This may not sound like many- but I count this as a blessing, as every time it’s a new energetic experience when I am learning and connecting more.
I was able to be there with my Aunty as she Paddle Boarded for her first time and also with my Uncle as he snorkeled for his first times. He was an amazing person to be around this month, as he came to Mexico wanting to find health- and he was open and willing to work towards it. Today they are leaving and I am so happy they came and enjoyed themselves- and just wish them the best now going back to their routines. Especially my Uncle who still has a year before retirement in a very stressful, demanding work environment.
My two person Abhyanga is coming along very well- and I am thinking that shortly, hopefully before the end of next month My Practitioner friend and I will be able to share with more people.
I am going to take a few weeks to re-read my Ayurveda text book and become completely SOLID on what I have been studying for the past 35 weeks and 5 days. I need to make sure I am doing my pathology and diagnostics properly and focus on the details and the steps that are outlined before me. Right now I just finished the phycology section, part 1… and I am just in this place of absolute contentment and gratitude that Ayurveda came to me in this lifetime. It is just amazing and it makes so much sense. When I was a child, I really wanted to become a phycologist for some reason- even though I had never been to one or knowingly knew someone who went to one… I just liked helping people with their problems… If I was a phycologist now- I could be helping people… but becoming an Ayurveda Practioner, in my new outlook on life- is the level of helping that I want to be. I will now focus hard for the next years to get a good enough understanding to begin helping people and being able to create a plan of action for people- to take control of their own lives… to begin to understand themselves and connect with themselves enough to begin choosing positive things, activities, people, foods, exercise, hobbies… for them.
Also- I feel so BLESSED that I am having support right now from my partner and family, so although I am not making heaps of money right now, I am able to continue my studying and working in something that is serving me and allowing me to become who I want to be, so then I can be happy when I am finally serving many others.
This month I also met some fun people from my Yoga/Energy community from D.F and around who are great people and I learned little lessons from them.
Also one of my best friends from Canada (for the past 15 years) came to visit for a few days and it was great to see him and spend some time with his Partner. Also being Easter it was great to spend a bit of time with my partners family who are all great people, but I don’t see enough. Life goes by so quick…
Next week it will be almost my 2 years since I arrived here! Not knowing Spanish, just having been with my partner for 5 months… It was a couple of great years for sure. I was able to spend time with my family and his family, see my friends, begin working in Mexico, begin studying things of Higher Purpose for myself…. My only regret is that my Spanish isn’t very good- But this is on my Priorities for the next months.
SO thank-you March for the fun! Thank-you for the good yoga, good snorkeling, cenote trip, kayaking with Iris, dancing with Karla, meeting up with Lolita in Playa, giving my uncle his first yoga classes, Abhyanaga, learning more about Jun, Kombucha and how to make Keifer with my Aunty, St. Patricks day with the family, spending a Sunday with my Partner.
