Another week gone.

So the Easter weekend was successful,  almost everyone in the house of my sister had this crazy cold, that seemingly is very aggressive right now. Even my mom came home coughing and sick from Mexico… so I tried to wash my hands a lot and tried not to be scared of everything and enjoy the weekend. Asides from colds- everyones spirits were high and it was great to be part of the magic of kids and Easter. My sisters kids, really are very good kids, that are polite and very funny. I have a lot of love for them and I feel they are really comfortable with me too- even though I don’t see them as much as I would like. There is nothing better than cuddles from babies and toddlers.
On the Monday before work, my Dad, Sister and the kids all went to the Moose Jaw Mineral Spa/Pool. It was a nice couple hours and the sauna was really nice- as it had Eucalyptus essential oils in the air.  I knew getting up at 9am would prove to be a long night- as I would be working until 4:30am however- it wasn’t that bad. After shoveling and moving carrying buckets pretty steady for some hours-my body was ready for sleep when it was time.

Last week was good- it went by quick, however, I was still unable to sleep- now again with the weekend off- and being awake during the day… it took me until Thursday, my last day of the week- to get back on cycle. Now it’s Monday morning (I work tonight) and I am trying to stay up late as to remain on this schedule.

When you are in a town away from family and friends, and everything closes by 6 and almost everything is closed on Sunday- having the weekend off doesn’t have many perks. Will see how the following weeks go.  This weekend at least I went out for a bit on Friday and Saturday just for the need to have a bit of social life. Met a few new people, got some bonfire action in and also learned some pretty fun new board or table games. THERE are so many games out there. I went to someones house who play games a lot- and they are so good at them. They already know all the rules, and have strategy. ALSO they play a lot of games- they had an entire bookcase full of games. It would be nice to play some games again soon!
Right now I am feeling healthier, however, I have had a blocked ear/infection now for since last Tuesday… so for 5 days. Some days it has been very painful, so I even took some pain killers that my friend gave me. It was so weird- I haven’t relied on Tylenol or pain killers for years- cause normally Reiki or just being healthy and having natural medicine around me would do the trick… but as I am not a natural doctor yet, don’t have much herb supply here and need to work when I should be fixing my health- pain killers it is.
The worst thing is, I probably created this infection myself by being careless again and rushing.

I did Jala netti before Yoga practice, and I was feeling blocked up so I put some tumeric in the water and then did Jala Netti and then quickly started packing up all the Yoga stuff… perhaps I never got all the water out of my sinuses, because during practice I felt a lot of pressure when bending forward and also when I did headstand….  8 hours later, I was working with a massive ear ache on the right side of my head. That night I could hear the water moving around my inner ear… I was just wishing it would come out.

Over the past 5 days I keep wishing this and have tried blow drying my ear, putting hydrogen peroxide inside (this sounds crazy), tilting my head, jumping up and down, adding more water, suction cup with my hand, little Reiki… and nothing yet. I feel defeated. I am going to try to take a neem pill, and reiki now before I go to sleep and I PRAY that it’s cleared up for tomorrow.  This kind of reminds me when I was a child, I had many ear infections. But have not had any problems for many, many years.

But as a Child, I had many infections and actually, I never heard very well. I guess I never heard the beginning nor the ends of words. Therefore, when I spoke- I only spoke the middle part of the words. My family said I spoke “Beckineze”. Apparently, my sister understood and would be my official translator to most people- including my dad.
I was going to need surgery, but we switched doctors and they were able to catch what was happening before the damage was irreversible. My ears became better and I took speech therapy for some years- to get my caught up with my ability to pronunciate words and – well happily ever after.

Two quick side notes here:
1) My younger brother, who was one of my BF’s back then- learned how to talk from listening to me as well- therefore, the poor guy – also talked a bit funny and needed to take speech therapy.
2) The word Pronunciate is underlined red and when I click on what google had to say about this word it said “”Pronunciate” is a word that isn’t listed in most dictionaries; Dictionary.com does mention it, but it noted that “pronunciate” is used rarely. If you use it, most people will think that you meant to use “pronounce” but screwed up.

LOL! So- if anyways was judging me on my word choice… there… now you have it. I am using old school vocabulary here.
