Well today was a fun one- We were out dancing until about 3 Friday night and then this morning at 6:30 I got up to get ready for my surf lesson at 7- when I was walking to the beach I passed my surf instructor and the waves were pretty flat and- in truth, so was I… so we decided to go later in the day.
I went back to the hostal but the gate would be locked now until 8am so I went back to the beach and did yoga at the beautiful and quiet beach with only about 5 people there and I had a nice meditation. In my meditation, cactus and maguey images kept coming up – I don’t know if this is effect by the amount of mezcal I’m drinking or from the hikuri cermemony- since this was my first good meditation in weeks. I came back to the hostal Vivo Escondido and had my free breakfast then I tried to have a little nap- before a group of us headed to the beach again. This time for surf and party.
I went out by myself and with a medium board- I only was out for 1:20 minutes but it was a lot of fun and I was increasing my confidence and experience. We stayed at the beach until about 6 and now I just applied for my job back at SaskPower- hopefully this means I have it for sure the fact they sent me an e-mail telling me to apply.  With this job- I will be able to come back here in November and try and live my life being a student, surfer and yogi. I already feel like some good things could happen here. The friend of my friend Mika has a cool place I would probably rent from and it’s going to be a holistic place where I can also give holistic therapies. She had really good energy and was easy to talk to. I HAD a very interesting day with my Yoga instructor yesturday. Picking shells, rain, clay, fish dinner, riding in the back of a truck moto, cervesas and seeing his place.
I have an opportunity to rent his place too and have a package of taking classes with him and staying at his place. It’s to hard for my to set my boundaries with a new culture I am still learning about, so I want to just keep my own place of rental while I am getting to know him. It’s so nice to be meeting so many awesome and open people again and doing things with them. A new friend I met in Oaxaca came here and we are having fun here too. Well I have more to write- but I am feeling good considering my lack of sleep … I am with the ocean again.
