72 Days living in Coronach I finally felt I could afford to have a celebratory night of Pot Luck. My roommate and I invited some people and in the end 13 people came and it was fun to just share in drink and food.
It was a bring whatever type of potluck, and although most people new about it a week in advance with reminders- most people left it to that night to make or buy something- it still ended up with a fun spread. Authentic Mexican Chili, Authentic Grandma made Canadian Chili, Deer Meat, Hamburger Sliders and Chicken bites, Nachos, salsa and cheese, Perogies with Onions, Veggies and Onion Dip, Wraps, Rice and Veggies, olives, sangria and chips, brownies, donuts, cake, chocolates, cinnamon buns, cheese buns, and other pastries.
I ate and drank the vegetarian selection without feeling guilt.
The next day I brought to work many of the leftovers- but had left some of the goodies too… and so for the next two days I enjoyed rich, carby, gluten food… I woke up wanted chocolate. We had nachos on Wednesday night and it was delicious and I had a cheese bun with spinach on Thursday night… but I really began to feel more anxious and tamasic… so I decided on Friay I am going to clean house.
My house. I did a water fast all day yesterday and I think I will do it again today and probably sunday and then go onto a mung bean soup + digestive spices for the rest of the week. My tongue today had a Kapha type Ama- showing that my body is still full of the undigested heavy, sweet food that I was eating in irresponsible, unconscious moderations. It`s part of my learning.
I am on a new journey, of now after a few years of primarily eating healthy foods- now trying to go the next step and that is to cut out refined sugar (using honey, dates, stevia, cane sugar, coconut sugar, fruits, grains as my way to intake sweet) as well as stopping to overeat (eating only until 75% full), and not eating at least 3 hours before bed, and not eating in between meals.
ALL PURPOSE OF DIGESTION which directly related to how my body and mind feels.
I want to begin 2020 as the goddess that I am- walking my path to become a healthier, stronger person with high ojas that I will be able to share myself with my patients, clients and friends as well as take on whatever else the universe wants to give me.
