What is Reiki and How Does it Work?

Every living being radiates warmth and energy- this energy is the life force itself and has as many names as there are human civilizations.

In Japan it is called Ki and is the root word for Reiki.
It is called Chi in China,
Barraka in Islamic countries,
Ruach in Hebrew,
Manna in Polynesian,
Life force by westerners,
in India it is called Prana (also a Yoga term).

The word Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) derives from two Japanese words that mean literally, universal life force energy. The source of all universal life force energy is the source of all life and is older than all creation. Just as there are many names for Ki, there are just as many names for this source: Creator, God, the Universe, the First Source, Goddess, the Higher Self, Great Mystery, Higher Power, etc.

Reiki is a vibrational, or spiritual, healing practice that promotes overall balance. It is facilitated through light, non-invasive touch to a fully clothed person who is either lying down or sitting comfortably.

Reiki – universal life force energy is both the Yin(Earth energy) & Yang(Sky energy). Yin moves from earth to Heart centre and Yang from sky to Heart centre joins to flow through the hands of Reiki Channel, as hands are the extensions of heart. There are different techniques to send Reiki Energy, some of those are, by touch, beaming, blowing to the position, through your eyes etc..but in everything the pure thought that supports the healing to happen is also made.

I began my journey with Reiki in January 2014, where I travelled to South India and stayed in my Masters home for weeks throughout 3 different levels.
I also had the opportunity to travel with her and her healer friends to Kerela, where we went around to their friends and families. I was positively affected by their unconditional love and desire to serve and heal others. On this journey, I met many spiritual and saint like people who all worked together to inspire me to one day begin to share this beautiful, healing energy with others. There was no doubt in anyones mind that I am chose to come here to heal.
Right now I am manifesting my true desires… and I am very ready to begin helping others manifest theirs.

I just found these photos on my Master Reenas page from two years ago. Wow, time has changed. This was my 3rd month in India and I was still just at the beginning of my transformation both physically, emotionally and spiritually.

When I came to Mexico I looked for another Reiki master that could continue to help me evolve while I was here. My master in India will always be someone who I can talk with- but I was looking to build a community here in Mexico -like how my Master Reena has in her place. It was so beautiful to be there.
I never found my group of healers here yet- however, I have been attracted to several individual healers who help to guide and inspire me.

I throughly enjoyed learning about Energy from the perspective of three different cultures, but realizing that the most important techniques, were all taught the same. Reiki, created by a Japanese man named Dr. Usui – is able to be learned and shared between all people, languages and faiths.

Below are photos of the certifications that I received. I currently practice Reiki daily throughout my day. Reiki is an energy that is positive and has an intelligence to help, in a way that needs. One can use Reiki for the present moment and you can also send it into the past and the future.
I work solely as transmitter between you and Reiki. I will open up my heart and quiet my mind to allow Reiki to flow through me…so you will be able to receive it.

I will be offering well thought out, Reiki Level 1 and 2 courses in 2016.

I will be in Playacar offering Reiki sessions from my home.
I can also go to your place in  Playacar, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Paamul and Puerto Morelos for an additional charge, depending on location.
